CHICAGO BRIDGE

Chicago bridge play is offered on Monday mornings  from 10-15 - 12-45.  These 'more relaxed' sessions are for members and non-members with the opportunity for those who are 'rusty' or wish to 'develop' their bridge or just enjoy a social game with friendly people.  Please contact Sue Clark for details 01892 667386.    THE CENTRE IS CLOSED THEREFORE NO CHICAGO ON 6TH MAY AND 27TH MAY,

ETIQUETTE REMINDER

 MEMBERS ARE REMINDED TO MAINTAIN CORRECT ETIQUETTE WHILST AT THE TABLES SEE THE ENB PAGE ON THE WEBSITE.  IN ADDITION HESITATION WHILST USING THE BIDDING BOX IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.  THE FIRST CARD CHOSEN MUST BE USED.  DUMMY MUST NOT INDICATE OR TOUCH CARDS UNLESS PARTNER HAS CHOSEN THEM FIRST.  WINNING PAIRS SHOULD NOT CELEBRATE THEIR WIN AT THE TABLE.

We are a relaxed and very friendly EBU affiliated club, comprised of players with a wide range of abilities - from newcomers to bridge to Grandmasters. Newcomers and visitors are welcome.

Conventions are mostly Acol. If you are unfamiliar with duplicate bridge, experienced players will be available to help you.  There is no table money required for a visitor's first visit to the club. 

Would visitors for all sessions and anyone seeking a partner please refer to the Information Section.

REFRESHMENTS

The Club are happy to provide refreshments, however, it is recommended that personal mugs are brought for this.  Paper cups will be made available, (although these are not recommended for hot drinks).  Members are asked to consider the environment.  

SAD NEWS

The daughter of our long time bridge playing member and friend, Pauline Edmonds, Johanna, has been in touch to inform of the death of her mother a couple of weeks ago.  Arrangements have been made for a funeral service to be held on Wednesday 8th May at 12.15 at Tunbridge Wells Crematorium and after at the Abergaveny Arms. Please inform Sue Smith or Sue Clark  if you will be attending in order that arrangements can be made.
